We are seekinga motivated and detail-oriented Primary Products Inspector to enhance our qualityassurance efforts.
Role Summary:
In the role of Primary Products Inspector, you will be integral to our quality control team.
Your primary focus will be on evaluating the quality and safety of our blueberryproduction, ensuring we meet all industry standards.
This position is perfect forindividuals who have a strong attention to detail and a passion for agriculturalexcellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect blueberries and related agricultural produce to identify quality issues, advisingproducers on best practices for maintaining high product standards.
Conduct audits and monitor quality procedures at the farm, storage, and processingfacilities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Test samples of blueberries for quality, size, and purity to ensure they meet marketand safety requirements.
Ensure that hygiene standards are observed at all stages, including storage,processing, packing facilities,
and transport vehicles.
Advise producers on disease management and communicate health implicationsrelated to crop quality.
Provide guidance on the identification of pests and diseases affecting blueberry cropsand on regulations related to grading, packing, and loading of products.
Monitor for compliance with agricultural regulations and may initiate or assist in legalaction to enforce standards.
Educate producers and the community on sustainable practices and regulations relatedto blueberry farming and its impact on health and the workplace.
Ideal Candidate:
Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent education
At least 2 years of Australian Experience in Horticulture is required
Familiarity with blueberry farming operations and industry standards is preferredbut not essential
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physical Stamina is required
