Job Description
We're currently working on an exciting mandate with a global boutique consulting firm that is growing its Canberra presence and looking for a Principal Cloud Architect to join the team.
This is a senior, hands‐on technical leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, leading engineering teams and delivering complex cloud transformation initiatives.
The Opportunity This is a Principal‐level position, broadly equivalent to a Senior Manager within a Big 4 consulting environment – essentially a senior Cloud Architect who remains technically hands‐on.
You'll be involved in:
Leading AWS cloud migration and modernisation projects
Designing and implementing cloud solutions
Providing hands‐on technical leadership to engineering teams
Leading teams and mentoring technical resources
Working directly with clients across delivery and implementation
Supporting pre‐sales activities including presentations, demonstrations and solution development
Working across large-scale transformation projects and diverse technologies
What We're Looking For
Strong experience as a Cloud Architect, Senior Cloud Architect or Principal Cloud Architect
Essential: AWS cloud migration project experience
Robust engineering and delivery background
Previous consulting experience
Experience leading technical teams and providing technical leadership
Strong client‐facing communication skills
Experience supporting pre‐sales,
presentations, demonstrations and technical solution development
NV1 security clearance preferred, with Baseline clearance also potentially considered
Federal Government experience highly regarded
