Platypus Assistant Store Manager - Orion

As the Assistant Manager at Platypus Shoes Orion, you'll work side-by-side with the Store Manager to support a team of passionate casual team members. Your focus will be on driving sales and KPIs, coaching the team, and delivering next-level customer service. You'll play a key role in creating an energetic store culture, while developing your leadership skills in a fast-paced, high-impact retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in driving store performance by achieving sales targets, KPIs, and maintaining visual merchandising standards
n
Motivate and inspire the team to deliver outstanding results in sales and customer experience
n
Monitor and analyse store sales performance daily, weekly, and monthly – celebrate wins and identify opportunities for growth
n
Manage rosters and wage spend in line with company targets and operational efficiency
n
Coach and mentor team members, driving high morale, ongoing training, and succession planning
n
Oversee stock levels, store presentation, shrinkage control, and operational excellence
n
Ensure compliance with all OH&S; policies and relevant state and national legislation
n

Skills and Experience
n
n
Previous experience as a senior casual, key holder, 3IC, or supervisor in a high-volume retail environment
n
Proven ability to lead a team and deliver strong results in sales and KPIs
n
A proactive, hands-on leader with a 'Make it Happen' mindset
n
Strong communication skills and a passion for coaching others
n
Operational know-how across stock management and visual merchandising
n
A genuine enthusiasm for customer experience and working with premium product
n
