Availability across a range of shifts is essential, as our residents deserve consistent, compassionate care around the clock.

The Position
n
As a Personal Care Assistant, you'll become an important part of a supportive and caring team. Working alongside our clinical team, you'll help residents maintain their dignity, independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
n
You'll build meaningful relationships with residents and provide compassionate assistance with their daily needs. Whether it's helping with personal care, sharing a conversation over a meal, or simply being there when someone needs support—every interaction matters.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide respectful and compassionate personal care to assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity.
n
Assist with meal delivery, refreshments and residents' individual dietary requirements.
n
Monitor and record resident observations in relevant assessment charts and documentation.
n
Identify and report any changes or exceptions to a resident's care plan to the EN/RN.
n
Check and support residents with their daily menu requirements.
n
Complete duties allocated or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward and resident support duties.
n
Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming workplace for residents.
n
Work collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
n
Undertake other duties within your skills and capabilities as directed by the organisation.
n

Requirements
n
n
Relevant Certificate III qualification.
n
Experience working in residential aged care.
n
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
n
Current National Police Certificate or willingness and ability to obtain one.
n
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness and ability to obtain one.
n
A genuine commitment to providing respectful, person-centred care.
n
To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
