Be the Saturday morning voice of the Mid North Coast

Permanent, part time role (8.5 hours/week)

Base salary $80K - $89K(paid on a pro rata basis) + 15.4% ABC Nominated Super

The Role
n
ABC Mid North Coast is looking for a Radio Presenter for our Saturday Breakfast show. You would be the voice that starts the weekend for local audiences. Working as part of a collaborative regional news and content team, you'll present a lively and engaging breakfast program that informs, entertains and connects communities across the region.
n
This is a hands-on role where you'll source and develop local stories, build strong community connections, conduct interviews, and create content across multiple platforms to ensure audiences remain informed and engaged.
n
Nestled on the stunning Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Port Macquarie offers a coastal lifestyle, vibrant community spirit and endless story opportunities.

The Job
n
n
Present and produce ABC Mid North Coast's Saturday Breakfast program.
n
Source, research and develop compelling local stories and interview opportunities.
n
Deliver engaging live and pre-recorded content for radio and digital audiences.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, stakeholders and local contacts.
n
Contribute content across ABC platforms and support local emergency broadcasting when required.
n
Be available to present Saturday Breakfast from 6:30 am to 10:30 am,
with opportunities to be called on to support other programs and shifts as required.
n
Work a four-hour preparation shift to gather content and arrange live interviews for the Saturday breakfast show.

About You
n
You thrive in a live environment, enjoy connecting with people, and have a passion for telling stories that reflect the diversity of Australian communities.

You'll have:
n
n
Experience presenting and producing radio or audio content, with strong on-air communication skills.
n
Demonstrated editorial judgement and the ability to identify, research and develop compelling local stories.
n
Strong interviewing and relationship-building skills, with an ability to engage diverse communities.
n
A current and valid driver's licence.
n
