The Prospect
n
Our Wacol Branch has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Yardperson. We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient yard while supporting the day-to-day operations of the branch.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Taking ownership of yard activities and facilitating the safe movement of plant machinery and equipment throughout the branch
n
Receiving, inspecting, and coordinating the storage of new equipment and attachments within the yard area
n
Assisting with the preparation and presentation of machines for customer delivery, transport, and service requirements
n
Loading and unloading equipment, attachments, and components as required
n
Ensuring the general appearance of the yard and branch grounds is maintained to a high standard, keeping all areas clean, organised, and safe
n
Supporting workshop and branch operations with general duties as required
n
Always maintaining compliance with Hitachi's safety policies and procedures
n

About You
n
To be successful, you will need:
n
n
Demonstrated experience in a similar yard, warehouse, logistics, or operational support role.
n
Exposure to the construction, mining, agricultural, transport, or earthmoving industries will be highly regarded
n
A strong commitment to safety and ensuring the wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues
n
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n




Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
n
A proactive attitude with a focus on providing excellent internal and external customer service
n
A current driver's licence
n
