We are seeking experienced Boilermaker Welders for a major shutdown/project work in regional New South Wales.

We are seeking experienced Boilermaker Welders for a major shutdown/project work in regional New South Wales.
n
About the Role
n
This project involves:
n
n
Removal of existing wear plates
n
Welding and installation of new hard-facing plates
n
General structural welding and repair work
n
Heavy industrial maintenance activities
n
n
Welding processes will primarily include:
n
n
81Ni Flux Core
n
S6 Solid Wire
n
Hard-facing applications
n
n
You will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating roster basis, alternating between day and night shift swings. Shifts are 14 working days on,



with 7 days off.
n
Pay Rates
n
n
Day Shift: Approximately $125 per hour, plus super.
n
Night Shift: Approximately $150 per hour, plus super.
n
n
Rates are provided as an indicative consolidated figure and may vary depending on shift arrangements and applicable overtime provisions.
n
Accommodation and all meals on site will be provided free to you.
n Please note: No payment is provided during swing breaks.
n
Project duration is currently 4 weeks of work, over 6 weeks (2 swings), starting August **** with potential for extension of works.
n
Required Qualifications & Experience
n
To be considered, applicants must be qualified and experienced Boilermaker Welders capable of passing the following welding tests:
n
Welding Qualification Tests
n
2G Plate – 25mm thick
n
n
Side 1: Solid wire root run
n
Flux core fill and cap
n
Side 2: Back grind
n
Flux core fill and cap
n
n
3G Plate – 25mm thick
n
n
Side 1: Solid wire root run
n
Flux core fill and cap
n
Side 2: Back grind
n
Flux core fill and cap
n
n
4G Plate – 25mm thick
n
n
Side 1: Solid wire root run
n
Flux core fill and cap
n
Side 2: Back grind
n
Flux core fill and cap
n
n




4F Fillet Weld – 25mm thick
n
n
3-run, 2-layer weld
n
Solid wire first pass
n
Flux core second and third passes
n
n
Mandatory Site Requirements
n
Successful candidates will be required to complete:
n
n
Full pre-employment medical assessment including:n
n
Physical examination
n
Hearing test
n
Lung function test
n
Lung X-ray
n
Drug and alcohol screening (chain of custody pathology test)
n
n
National Police Check
n
Online company induction
n
Project and site inductions
n
n
Applicants with current certifications (issued within the last 24 months) are highly desirable:

Working at Heights
n
Confined Space Entry
n
n
If you do not currently hold these qualifications, Baker & Provan will arrange training prior to mobilisation.
n
All associated costs will be covered by Baker & Provan.
n
Mobilisation options include:
n
n
Drive to Cooma, NSW and park at the designated location, or
n
Fly at your own expense to Canberra Airport and travel by bus to Cooma
n
n
Once mobilised:
n
n
Bus transport provided to and from site
n
Private, self-contained accommodation with own bathroom
n
All meals provided while on site
n
Main mess facilities for breakfast and dinner
n
Take-away meals available for work breaks
n
Two paid breaks per 12-hour shift
n
Site transport provided
n
n
