This role supports a participant with a brain injury. Clear, fluent verbal and written English communication skills are essential to ensure participant safety, accurate documentation, and effective communication with family and allied health professionals.

About the role

We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate disability support worker to provide care and assistance to a 19 year old male with a traumatic brain injury, this care will help him live independently at home.

Duties include but not limited too
n
Personal care
n Complex care needs
n Hydrotherapy
n Wound care
n Medication administration
n Assistance with Allied health tasks/Exercise porgram
n Manual handling
n Social Support
n Domestic assistance
n Special meal preparation
n Willing to drive own car and a modified vehicle - Essential
n Documentation and reporting
n Community Access
n Meal prep
n




You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.
n
7am to 3pm alternate Wednesday
n 4pm to 10pm alternate Monday, Tuesday and Friday
n 11pm to 7am sleep and awake shifts
n
Requirements:
n
Applicants must have positive English speaking skills
n Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
n Previous care experience
n Current references
n Mobile phone
n Current driver's licence and your own car (mandatory)
n NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
n First Aid certificate or willing to obtain (mandatory)
n Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent (mandatory)
n Paid WWCC (Working with Children's check) or willing to obtain
