Construction Cadet

Your new company Hays has partnered with a leading commercial construction company renowned for delivering large-scale landmark developments across South East Queensland. With a strong project pipeline and an excellent reputation for developing future construction leaders, they are seeking a motivated Construction Cadet to join the team on a flagship $300 million, 30+-storey luxury high-rise project in Brisbane.

Your new role
n
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and Contract Administrators, you'll gain exposure to all facets of project delivery while contributing to the successful construction of a major high-rise development.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Assisting with project coordination and site administration
n
Supporting project engineers and site management teams
n
Maintaining project documentation and reporting
n
Assisting with subcontractor coordination and procurement processes
n
Monitoring project progress, quality and safety requirements
n
Attending site meetings and stakeholder briefings
n
Learning all aspects of commercial high-rise construction delivery
n
n




What you'll need to succeed
n
n
Currently studying or recently completed a Bachelor of Construction Management, Construction Economics, Property Development, Civil Engineering or similar qualification
n
Genuine passion for the construction industry
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn
n
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
n
Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
n
