Good Counsel Primary School
n
Good Counsel Catholic Primary School (GCPS), established in ****, is located in the centre of Innisfail township at 96 Rankin Street. Innisfail is the largest business centre on the Cassowary Coast in Far North Queensland with a population of approximately 10,000. The picturesque township is situated at the junction of the North and South Johnstone Rivers, about five km from the coast and 90km south of Cairns which services a domestic and international airport.

GCP is the largest Primary School in the Innisfail District with a current cohort of 350 students. The school has two streams for each year level from Prep to Year 6. Our school offers a dynamic and engaging curriculum designed to inspire curiosity and a love of learning in every student.

About the Role
n
The role of Curriculum Support Teacher/ Religious Education (CST/ RE) is to support the vision and mission of the school through leadership of learning and teaching. This involves leading the development of appropriate pedagogy and assessment in line with national and local requirements. This will involve:
n

ensuring that research based pedagogies are developed and systematically implemented across the school.
n
ensuring the quality of student learning and the effectiveness of teacher practice through appropriate support, coaching and modelling of pedagogical practices.
n
Administrating available resources to support Primary Pedagogical Framework.
n
n
The CST/RE reports to the Assistant Principal – Catholic Identity as Line Manager. CST/RE provides vision, inspiration, encouragement and assistance to all members of their team,



particularly Early Career Teachers. The RE CST also supports formation opportunities for staff.

Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers
