About the Role
n
Whoever You Are is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team and redefine care standards. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be vital in providing compassionate care and essential skills to individuals with disabilities. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure that each participant receives the highest quality of care. We currently have ***** hours available throughout the week, with weekend work available and sleepovers if required.

Weekday rates will vary from $*****-$***** an hour, depending on experience
n
We are hiring for Monday- Wenesday 7-10am Shifts, and have work outside of these hours when required.
n
Saturday and Sunday Rates if required
n
We require all staff applying to have experience with complex disabilities.
n
More hours will become available as we grow our participant base in Brisbane
n
This role would suit anyone looking to get into the industry or a university student studying a health-related degree.
n
You will be working with a mixed caseload and will be required to work in the western suburbs and the CBD.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide compassionate and personalised care to individuals with disabilities.
n
Assist with activities of daily living and accessing the community
n
Support participants in developing independent living skills
n




Facilitate community access and participation
n
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Experience or qualifications in disability support
n
Experience in Personal Care: Including showering, grooming, manual handling and
hoisting/transfers.
n
Experience in managing Complex Behaviours: Ability to remain calm and patient while supporting participants with severe behaviours of concern.
n
Experience with Physical & Complex conditions
n
A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Strong teamwork skills
n
A willingness to continuously learn and grow
n
Current First Aid and CPR certification
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Current driver's license and reliable car with insurance
n
