The Role
Due to fast paced growth, Brennan's Cybersecurity practice is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our Secure Networking team in Adelaide.




This is a technical role that delivers a range of network and cybersecurity services to the market in a project-based delivery methodology.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in customer workshops to capture requirements for solution development.
Assist in system discovery and analysis to drive solution development and delivery.
Prepare first-draft design documents under the guidance of the Senior team.
Develop documentation artefacts to describe technical solutions, configurations, and procedures.
Execute system changes, upgrades, and implementations.
Utilise scripting and automation where applicable.
Key Skills:
Clear and concise communication
Attention to detail with the ability to discern checkbox compliance from security control intent and efficacy
A strong understanding of network and network security technologies such as:
Wired and Wi-Fi Networking, Next-Generation Firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN and SASE technologies
NAC and network authentication, Data Centre network virtualisation technologies
Understanding of Microsoft and VMWare platforms (e.g., Active Directory / Entra ID, VMware ESXi, NSX)
Public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI)
Security concepts and frameworks (e.g., Essential 8 and ISM initiatives, network segmentation)
