Job Description
O3 PLATFORMS PTY LTD is seeking a Software Tester to join our technology team. This is a full-time position based in Newtown NSW ****. As a Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications and digital systems by conducting thorough testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.

What you'll be doing
n
Execute manual and automated test cases to identify software defects, bugs, and inconsistencies
n
Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with project requirements
n
Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across various applications and platforms
n
Document test results, defects, and issues in a clear and organised manner, providing detailed information to support resolution
n
Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
n
Identify, prioritise, and track defects through to resolution using defect tracking systems
n
Participate in test automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts
n
Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues not covered by standard test cases
n
Verify bug fixes and validate that corrective actions have been effectively implemented
n
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality assurance practices
n
What we're looking for
n
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Software Tester, QA Tester, QA Developer or in a similar software testing role.
n
Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
n
Strong experience in manual software testing.
n
Replicate and investigate customer-reported software issues to identify defects and support resolution.
n
Practical knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
n
Experience designing and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts.
n
Experience with automated testing systems and scripting.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to testing.
n
Ability to clearly document and communicate defects, testing results and technical issues.
n
Good communication and teamwork skills.
n
Ability to communicate effectively in at least two languages.
