Maritime Security Guard – 2IC & Supervisor Support

Corporate Protection is seeking an experienced security professional to join our Mackay-based maritime security team as 2IC. This leadership opportunity will see you play a key role in supporting a high-performing team responsible for protecting one of the region's most important infrastructure assets.

As the 2IC, you will assist with the day-to-day leadership of the team and help ensure security services are delivered in accordance with industry best practice, relevant legislation, and client policies and procedures.
n
Duties are varied and may include client engagement, rostering, staff supervision and training, drug and alcohol testing, mobile and static patrols, and the delivery of toolbox talks.
n

n Roster: Monday to Friday – 8.5 Hours per day

n
Key Responsibilities:
n
Develop, recommend and implement a strategic operational plan for all areas of responsibility.
n
Ensure compliance with budgets, policies, procedures, OH&S;, and QA requirements.
n
Ensure contractual KPI's are met.
n
Ensure services are delivered in an efficient and professional manner.
n
Oversee the administrative functions of the team.
n
Allocate and supervise projects, tasks, services, and training courses for team members where required.
n
Ensure staff are efficient and deliver effective and relevant services to clients and staff.
n
Conduct drug and alcohol testing.
n
Liaise with the client's PFSO and other relevant stakeholders to maintain a clear understanding of contract KPIs and obligations.
n
Ensure all administrative duties are completed in a timely manner.
n
Forecast and upload staff rosters to the appropriate system at least two months in advance.
n
Complete all required periodic reports for the Company or Client.
n
Coach, guide, counsel and mentor staff.
n
Conduct internal audits on staff qualifications on a monthly basis.
n
Perform ad hoc PFSO duties as required by the client and to the client's standards.
n
Perform other ad hoc duties as business needs require.
n

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
n
Current QLD Security Officer's License Class 1 (Unarmed, Monitoring)
n
Current Unrestricted QLD Driver's License
n
Certificate II in Security Operations
n
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
n
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
n
Proof of Working Rights in Australia (Birth Certificate, Passport or Visa)
n
The successful candidate must also be willing to obtain the following qualifications:
n
Maritime Security Identification Card
n
Safely Access the railway corridor (SARC)
n
HLTPAT005 or HLTPAT010 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
n
White Card
n
Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Certification
n
Maritime Security Guard (MSG) Course – This is a CPA course to be completed prior to first shift
