Industrial Cleaner (Industrial & Machinery Cleaning | Safety-Focused | Hands-On Role)

We're seeking a reliable Industrial Cleaner to join a high-performing team where your work directly supports safe, hygienic, and efficient operations. This is a hands-on role focused on cleaning floors, machinery, and conveyors using approved tools, chemicals, and mechanical aids. Key Responsibilities
n
n
Clean floors and work areas (mopping, sweeping, squeegeeing)
n
Empty bins/trays/buckets as required
n
Clean machinery and conveyor systems through wiping, washing, scrubbing, rinsing, and sanitising using approved tools and chemicals
n
Use mechanical aids safely and correctly, including:n
n
Air gun (blow-down from top to bottom, including sides)
n
Floor scrubbers and vacuums
n
Steam cleaner and vacuum for machine/conveyor cleaning
n
n
Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use (tools and mechanical aids)
n
Apply LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) on machinery and conveyors when required
n
Complete iPad-based tasks as needed (before/after photos and recording information)
n
n

Robust safety awareness and ability to identify hazards

Ability to perform manual labour tasks in a physically demanding environment

Confidence following site procedures and completing tasks accurately
n

Understands the importance of cleaning from top to bottom to avoid re-contamination

Can recognise when an area, machine, or conveyor has not been cleaned properly
n

Uses a practical quality mindset— "Would you eat off this?" to confirm cleaning standards are met
n

Preferred, not essential
n
n
Prior industrial cleaning experience, especially around machinery and conveyor systems
n
Familiarity with sanitising processes and structured chemical cleaning procedures
n

Manual Labour - Cleaning Floors – Mopping , Sweeping , Squeaking, emptying bins, trays and buckets. Using tools & Chemicals.

Manual Labour - Machine Cleaning – Wipping, Washing, Scrubbing, Rinsing & Sanitising. Using tools & Chemicals.
n
Manual Labour - Conveyor Cleaning – Wipping, Washing, Scrubbing, Rinsing & Sanitising. Using tools & Chemicals.
n
Using Mechanical Aids – Air Gun – Blow all the area down from the top to the bottom including the sides.
n
Using Mechanical Aids – Machine Cleaning Floors – Using Scrubbers & Vacuums.
n
Using Mechanical Aids – Machine & Conveyor Cleaning – Using a steam cleaner, Vacuum.
n
Cleaning Mechanical Aids after use.
n
Cleaning all tools after use.
n
Completing IPAD if required – Before and after pictures recording information on the Ipad.
n
Using LOTO on all machinery & conveyors.
