We are looking to engage an experienced and qualified finance professional to join our high profile federal government client.

We are looking to engage an experienced and qualified Lead Financial Analyst to join a major Federal Government environment driving the strategic finance governance, advice and budget oversight to directly influence executive decision making for a tier one digital transformation program.
n
Candidates with a Ngetaive Vetting 1 clearance will be preferred for this position.
n
Your responsibilities include:
n
n
Oversee a small finance team responsible for internal budget management, capital asset management, and external budget submissions.
n
Provide expert financial advice and high-level strategic guidance regarding Tier 1 program funding to Directors, Executive staff, and governance committees.
n
Drive internal and management accounting processes, ensuring robust oversight of program budgets and project accounting functions.
n




Direct capital asset management and set internal policies to support end-of-year financial reporting and statement development in compliance with accounting standards.
n
Build and maintain collaborative relationships across business areas, senior executive leadership, and central government departments.
n
n
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
n
n
Post-graduate qualifications and/or qualified accounting membership (CA or CPA)
n
5+ years of demonstrated experience effectively analysing and managing large, complex Tier 1 program budgets within complex public sector or enterprise environments.
n
advanced MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), and exposure to tools like Azure DevOps.
n
Proven capability in leading financial teams, strong data analysis skills for complex budget modelling, and high-level written and verbal communication skills to present clear financial insights to executive leadership.
