Job Description
n
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
n
n
Providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
n
Ensuring that all the resources within their control are utilised as efficiently and effectively as possible.
n
Being pro-active and making decisions and taking action on issues which are within their control.
n
Informing their Supervisor of any issue which impacts on their ability to effectively fulfil the requirements of the Position Description.
n
The implementation of safe working practices.
n
Providing for the safe and orderly passage of persons crossing the designated school crossing.
n
Supervision of the designated crossing at the prescribed times in accordance with the provisions of the Road Rules - Victoria.
n
Monitoring crossing for illegal traffic practices.
n
Maintenance of equipment.
n
Provision of ongoing public relations and Council image.
n
n
Desired Skills and Experience
n
n
Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
n
Prior experience in role responsible for safety of children.
n
Understanding of Victorian road rules and pedestrian rights.
n
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and schools.
