As a Specialist, Data Modelling, you'll turn complex information into trusted, reusable models that support personalisation, analytics and strategic decision making.
Working alongside data engineers and other business stakeholders you'll help a growing squad deliver new initiatives within Retail Australia Insurance (RIA).
Your technical judgement, curiosity and collaborative approach will strengthen data quality,improveperformanceandhelp teams confidently turn ideas into meaningful outcomes.
We have 2xfull-timefixed term roles (12 months) based ineitherGadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney)orNaarm(Melbourne).
What You'll Do
Design and implement reusable data models using DBT and SQL to support personalisation,reporting,analyticsandpredictive modelling.
Optimise SQL queries, strengthen dataqualitychecksandmaintaintheintegrity and consistency of information across data processes.
Regularly review and fine-tune SQL queries and stored procedures,assistinginmaintainingoptimaldataprocess performance.
Maintainclear documentation of data models, ETL processes, DBT models, and SQL scripts, ensuring adherence to data security standards.
Explore emerging tools and approaches, recommending opportunities to improveperformance,standardsandways of working.
What You'll Bring
Strong capability designingandmaintainingreusabledata models using DBT, SQL and Python.
Experience working with cloud data platforms such asBigQuery,



Snowflake or AWS.
Confidence translating complex requirements into scalable data structures and practical solutions.
A collaborative approach to working with technical teams,businesspartnersanddiverse stakeholders.
Experience supporting personalisation,marketing,analyticsorpredictive modelling initiatives would be valuable.
Exposure to Adobe, Java, Cloud Run,insuranceor financial services would be beneficial.
