Forklift Driver / Labourer | Afternoon Shift | $*****/hr

We're looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver / Labourer to join a busy recycling and waste processing operation. This role offers excellent hourly rates, consistent afternoon shifts, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

About the Role
n Working within a recycling and resource recovery facility, you will be responsible for a combination of forklift operations and manual labour tasks to support the efficient movement and processing of recyclable materials.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Operating a forklift safely within an industrial environment
n
Moving cages, bins, and recyclable materials throughout the facility
n




Performing manual labour, including handling and repositioning collection bins beneath sorting areas
n
Sorting recyclable materials before processing
n
Monitoring machinery and identifying when sufficient product is ready to form a bale
n
Following all site safety procedures and operational requirements
n
n
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
A current and valid Forklift Licence (LF)
n
Previous experience operating forklifts in an industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or waste environment (preferred)
n
Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout your shift
n
Excellent reliability and punctuality
n
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
n
n

n This is a waste and recycling facility and can be a challenging environment.
n

Solid odours
n
Exposure to rubbish and recyclable waste materials

Wet and dirty conditions at times
