Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive rural health setting? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse – Grade 2 to join a Nursing team and help deliver safe, high-quality patient care to the local community.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering effective, effective and quality patient care across the acute and sub-acute settings at Orbost Regional Health. This is a genuine opportunity to broaden your clinical scope in a close-knit rural facility where no two days look the same.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide safe, high-quality nursing care within skilled, legal and ethical standards
n
Assess patients' health needs and expected outcomes, and develop care plans in collaboration with the broader healthcare team
n
Involve patients in planning and delivering their own care
n
Liaise with medical, clinical and senior nursing staff when additional expertise is required
n
Deliver patient education and appropriately document advice given
n
Maintain accurate, contemporary clinical records
n
Assist with discharge planning
n
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
n
Participate in the patient admission process
n
Contribute to relevant hospital committees
n
Support the orientation of new staff
n
Participate in projects and other duties as required
n

About You
n
We're looking for candidates with a background in one or more of the following:
n
n
Acute Medical/Surgical nursing
n
Generalist nursing
n
Emergency Department (ED) nursing
n
Rural/generalist hospital nursing
n
Combined acute and aged care/sub-acute experience
