Expression of Interest - FIFO Village Chefs

TCLH is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Remote Village Chefs for potential upcoming opportunities ACT & NSW.
n
These roles will be FIFO ex Canberra and Sydney.
n
We're looking for chefs who take pride in what leaves the kitchen and understand that in a village environment, food can be one of the most important parts of someone's day.

The Chance
n
As a Village Chef with TCLH, you'll help deliver high-quality, nutritious, and appealing meals within a busy mining village environment.
n
Depending on the opportunity, responsibilities may include:
n
n
Preparing and delivering high-volume breakfast, lunch and dinner services
n
Producing fresh, varied and high-quality meals
n
Supporting menu planning and food preparation
n
Maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards
n
Managing dietary and allergen requirements
n
Supporting stock control and minimising food waste
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen
n
Working collaboratively with the broader village team
n
Contributing ideas to continually improve the resident dining experience
n
n
About You
n
You're a chef who cares about high quality and consistency.
n




You can work efficiently in a high-volume environment without losing sight of presentation, flavour or the experience of the people you're cooking for.
n
We're interested in hearing from chefs with experience across:
n
n
Remote camp or village operations
n
Hotels, resorts or large hospitality operations
n
Defence, institutional or contract catering
n
Functions, events or large-scale food production
n
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
Relevant commercial cookery qualifications (Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or above required)
n
Experience working within a commercial kitchen
n
Strong food safety knowledge
n
The ability to deliver quality food consistently at volume
n
Excellent organisation and time-management skills
n
A positive, team-focused attitude
n
Pride in your work and the food you produce
n
n
Experience within village operations is highly regarded, but great hospitality chefs looking to bring their skills into the village environment are also encouraged to express your interest.
