Disability Support Worker – Complex Mental Health | Oran Park NSW

IMPORTANT: We are seeking a MATURE FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER (30+) from an AUSTRALIAN BACKGROUND, in line with the participant's preferences. Applicants MUST have experience supporting COMPLEX CLIENTS with PSYCHOSOCIAL DISABILITY, MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS and BEHAVIOURS OF CONCERN.

About the role
n
SEED Disability Services is seeking an experienced female Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a 57-year-old male participant in Oran Park.
n
This is a complex support role. The participant has psychosocial and mental health support needs and requires a worker who is confident, calm, mature and able to maintain strong professional boundaries.
n
Experience with complex behaviours, de-escalation, Positive Behaviour Support and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) is essential.
n
We require someone who:
n
n
Is a mature female support worker, preferably 30+
n
Is from an Australian background, as requested by the participant
n
Has solid experience with psychosocial disability and mental health
n




Has experience supporting complex clients and behaviours of concern
n
Is confident with de-escalation and Positive Behaviour Support
n
Can follow BSPs and restrictive practice procedures
n
Is calm, resilient and able to maintain professional boundaries
n
Has experience with high-level support needs
n
Can attend a face-to-face interview
n
Is available to start immediately
n

Hours
n
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 8-hour shifts
n
There is potential for hours to increase, including longer shifts and possible sleepovers as the participant's supports increase.
