About the Company

An opportunity exists for an experienced Production Manager to join a leading Australian manufacturing business on an interim basis. This is a critical leadership role requiring an experienced manufacturing professional who can quickly integrate into the operation, provide stability, drive performance and ensure production targets are consistently achieved.

This position will suit a hands-on leader with extensive experience operating within complex, high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environments.
n
The Opportunity
n
Reporting to the Site Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading production operations, managing frontline leadership teams and ensuring the site delivers against safety, quality, cost and service objectives.
n
You will be expected to quickly assess operational challenges, implement practical solutions and maintain solid performance across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead daily production operations across a large manufacturing facility
n
Drive operational performance, productivity and labour efficiency
n
Manage and develop supervisors, team leaders and production teams
n
Ensure manufacturing targets are achieved safely and consistently
n
Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and production issues
n
Champion a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance standards are maintained
n
Monitor and report on key operational KPIs
n




Support continuous improvement initiatives across people, process and performance
n
Collaborate with maintenance, quality, planning and supply chain functions
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
n
n
10+ years' experience in manufacturing leadership positions
n
Proven success managing production within a 24/7 manufacturing environment
n
Strong experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Site Leader
n
Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance and deliver results under pressure
n
Experience leading medium to large manufacturing teams
n
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
A hands-on leadership style with the ability to quickly build credibility and influence
n
n
Experience gained within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, building products, industrial manufacturing, consumer goods or other high-volume manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.
