Key Responsibilities
n
n
Surface Preparation: Wash, scrape, sand, and prepare interior and exterior surfaces. Repair woodwork, fill cracks, holes, and joins with suitable fillers, and seal substrates prior to coating.
n
Site Setup & Safety: Erect scaffolding, ladders, and access platforms safely. Lay drop sheets and apply masking tape to protect surrounding areas, glass, and fixtures.
n
Paint Preparation: Select, mix, and match paints and stains to required colors and specifications using correct pigments, thinners, and additives.
n
Application: Apply primers, undercoats, and decorative topcoats using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment.
n
Equipment & Site Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting tools, spray apparatus, and work areas.



Ensure safe handling and disposal of paints and solvents.

Site Management: Working across multiple interior and exterior sites, maintaining an inventory of supplies, and ensuring clean-up post-project.
n
Quality Control: Identifying hazards or defects and undertaking inspections to ensure a superior finish.

Skill & Experience
n
n
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of full time work experience as a Painter.
n
Qualification: Relevant Trade Qualification (Minimum AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating).
n
Safety Card: General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
n
Working With Children Check
n
Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
n
Licence: Valid Driver's Licence.
n
Technical Skills: Strong experience in surface preparation,cut and roll, and spray painting.
n
Physical Capability: Ability to work comfortably at heights, handle equipment, and perform physical trade work.
n
Safety Awareness: Good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
n
Availability: Immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
