An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Winemaker & Bottling Coordinator to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their winemaking career while taking ownership of our bottling operations.

About the Role
n
Reporting directly to the Senior Winemaker, you will play a key role across all aspects of wine production throughout the year. The position combines hands-on cellar work with responsibility for planning and coordinating our bottling schedule to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

Your Responsibilities

Winemaking:
n
n
Assist in all aspects of wine production from grape receival through to bottling
n
Fermentation management including pump overs, rackings and additions
n
Wine transfers, blending and filtration
n
Barrel work including filling, topping and maintenance
n
Laboratory analysis and quality control testing
n
Cellar hygiene and equipment sanitation
n
Vintage preparation and execution
n
Assist with inventory management and stock control
n
n
Bottling Coordination
n
n
Plan and coordinate the annual bottling schedule
n
Liaise with mobile bottling contractors and suppliers
n
Ensure wines are prepared and ready for bottling
n
Coordinate packaging requirements including bottles, labels, cartons and closures
n
Maintain packaging inventory levels
n
Conduct quality assurance checks throughout bottling runs
n
Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
n
Coordinate finished goods movement and storage
n
n
General Responsibilities
n

Operate winery machinery and equipment safely
n
Assist with warehouse operations and logistics
n
Participate in preventative maintenance programs
n
Work collaboratively with vineyard, sales and administration teams
n
Maintain a protected and organised work environment
n
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across production
n

About You
n
You are passionate about wine production and enjoy working in a hands-on environment. You are organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualification in Oenology, Viticulture or a related field (or currently studying)
n
Numerous years of previous winery and cellar experience
n
Strong organisational and time management skills
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Current driver's licence
n
Physically fit and capable of manual work
