Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join a major Federal Government client in Canberra. This is an engagement within a large enterprise technology environment, leading the planning and delivery of technology projects across multidisciplinary technical and business teams.

The successful candidate will work across a range of emerging technology and ICT initiatives, potentially spanning cloud, infrastructure, endpoint management, automation, collaboration platforms and broader enterprise technology improvements.
n
This role would suit an experienced technical Project Manager who can operate effectively in a complex environment, manage senior stakeholders and vendors, and drive projects from planning through implementation and transition into BAU.

The Role
n
You will be responsible for:
n
n
Leading the planning, delivery and governance of complex IT and technology projects.
n
Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, dependencies and delivery outcomes.
n
Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, risk registers, implementation plans, stakeholder plans and status reporting.
n
Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across business, infrastructure, engineering, technology and external vendors.
n
Managing project risks, issues, dependencies and key decisions, including appropriate escalation and mitigation.
n
Engaging senior stakeholders and providing clear reporting on progress, risks, achievements and emerging concerns.
n
Supporting the evaluation and delivery of emerging technologies that improve capability, security, efficiency and user experience.
n
Facilitating workshops to gather requirements,



resolve issues and support technical and business decision-making.
n
Managing project budgets, contracts and vendor relationships.
n
Supporting change, implementation and transition of new capabilities into operational services.
n
Ensuring delivery aligns with relevant governance, security, procurement, risk and legislative requirements.
n
Promoting a highly collaborative, accountable and delivery-focused team culture.

About You
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience planning, managing and delivering IT projects.
n
Strong experience delivering technical ICT projects within complex enterprise environments.
n
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within agreed time, cost, scope and quality parameters.
n
Experience working with multiple project delivery methodologies and tools.
n
Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience navigating complex stakeholder environments.
n
Strong vendor and commercial management experience.
n
Ability to analyse complex information, refine requirements and translate business needs into technology solutions.
n
Demonstrated experience building and working within mature, high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of high-quality project and governance documentation.
n
A proactive, collaborative approach with a robust focus on delivery, accountability and team culture.
n
Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes within legislative, governance and policy frameworks.
n
n
Experience with ITIL, Agile and/or DevOps ways of working will be highly regarded.
