About the Role
n
Depending on your clinical background, your
responsibilitieswillinclude:
n
n
Completing comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.
n
Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
n
Providing ongoing case management within a recovery-oriented framework.
n
Developing collaborative treatment plans with
consumers,familiesand
carers.
n
Conducting home visits and community outreach.
n
Providing post-discharge follow-up and short-term crisis support.
n
Working alongside Emergency Departments to complete urgent mental health assessments.
n
Medication support
andmonitoringwhereappropriate.
n
Working closely with Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SocialWorkersand Mental Health Nurses within a multidisciplinary environment.
n
n
For clinicians working within Crisis Assessment Teams, the role involves responding to acute mental health presentations, conducting comprehensive riskassessmentsand providing intensive short-term intervention in both hospital and community settings.
n
Home visits are always completed safely, with staff supported by comprehensive safety procedures, duress systems, fleet vehicles and, whererequired, joint visits or policeassistance.
n
To be successful you will have:
n
n
Current AASW registration
n
Experience working within Community Mental Health, Crisis Assessment or Adult Mental Health services (ideal).
n
Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills.
n
A commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed practice
n
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
n
n
Experience Requirements
n
Community Mental Health &Crisis; Assessment & Treatment Team (CAT)
n
n
Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience within Community Mental Health or Adult Mental Health services (ideally).
n
Extensive Crisis Team or acute mental health experience isrequired.
n
Senior
cliniciansgenerally
requireapproximately
5 years' relevant experiencein accordance withthe applicable Enterprise Agreement.
