The Opportunity
n
We are looking for an experienced Dual Trade Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our growing team servicing commercial and industrial sites across Hervey Bay and the Fraser Coast.
n
We're particularly interested in technicians who hold both Mechanical/HVAC and Electrical trade qualifications. Experience or qualifications in fire services will be highly regarded and considered a solid advantage.
n
You'll work across a varied mix of commercial and industrial HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and associated building services. This could include split systems, VRV/VRF systems, chillers, ducted plant, refrigeration equipment, controls and electrical systems.
n
This is a role where you'll have the autonomy to run your own jobs, backed by an experienced support team and rewarded properly for the work you do.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
Service, fault-find and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration plant
n
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and controls faults
n




Carry out planned preventative maintenance against site asset registers
n
Install, commission and decommission HVAC and refrigeration equipment
n
Complete electrical fault-finding, repairs and minor electrical works within your licence and scope
n
Assist with controls, BMS and building services fault-finding
n
Complete service reports, photographs and asset data through our mobile platform
n
Work closely with the dispatch team to plan daily schedules and keep clients informed
n
Where suitably qualified, undertake fire services inspection, testing and maintenance
n
Provide professional recommendations to clients and site contacts
n
What You'll Bring
n
Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent
n
Electrical trade
qualification/licence
n
Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
n
Current driver's licence
n
Confidence working independently across commercial and industrial sites
n
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
n
Full Australian working rights
n
Fire Experience – Highly Regarded
n
Candidates with any of the following will be highly regarded:
n
Certificate II or III in Fire Protection and Testing
n
PAS accreditation or eligibility
n




Experience servicing fire detection and protection systems
n
Experience with fire indicator panels (FIPs)
n
Knowledge of AS ****
n
Wet or dry fire endorsements
n
Bonus Points For
n
EWP, Working at Heights or Confined Space tickets
n
Experience with BMS and controls fault-finding
n
Refrigeration experience across cool rooms, freezer rooms or process cooling systems
n
Experience with VRV/VRF systems and commercial chillers
n
EWIS, emergency lighting or other building services experience
n
Additional electrical, mechanical or fire industry qualifications
n
