Description of the Position to be filled
n
n
Undertake motor vehicle services, carry out repairs of engines, the transmission, the suspension systems as well as undertake electronic diagnostics at an efficient and professional manner.
n
n
Duties & Responsibilities
n
n
Perform Tyre changing, wheel alignment and wheel balance.
n
Discuss problems with car owners to discover faults, listen to engines and operate special test equipment and test drive vehicles to ascertain faults.
n
Determine cause & effect of identified problems and determine best course of action.
n
Repair and replace worn and faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmission, differentials or steering gear etc.
n
Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts or assemblies.
n
Use of proper tools to make sure they are working properly and put them back into the vehicle.
n
Perform preventive maintenance such as checking fluid levels, brake systems, steering, generating ignition, and electrical wiring systems.
n
Tune engines using special electronic equipment and make fine adjustments.
n
Diagnose, repair and replace engine management/fuel injection components.
n
Use of electronic test equipment to locate and correct malfunctions in lighting, instrumentation, electronic fuel injection, ignition and emissions control systems.
n
Perform administrative tasks such as completion of vehicle details on Job Sheet and ensue all purchase invoices are properly attached with the Job Sheets.
n
Maintain proper and secure keeping of all tools and equipment and ensure hazardous substances are disposed appropriately.
n
Follow occupational health and safety practices.
n

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required
n
n
Certificate IV in Motor Mechanism from a recognized institute in Australia OR an AQF Certificate 111 OR an equivalent recognized qualification is required.
n
Certificate IV in Automotive Technology specifically is required for this position.
n
Full car licence is required for this position.
n
Valid driving licence.
n
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the same industry.
n
Ability to carry out tasks with "can-do" attitude and positivity is highly desirable.
n
Candidates must hold any valid work visa to be eligible for this position.
n

Annual Gross Salary package of AUD 80,******,000 plus Super awaits the right candidate.

Job Type - Full time (Monday-Friday) & Half Day on Saturday
