Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CPA-qualified Accountant to act as a trusted adviser to the Director, overseeing accounting, taxation compliance, property portfolio management and investment administration across a group of private entities. This is a highly autonomous role requiring a trusted skilled who can oversee accounting, taxation compliance, property administration and investment-related reporting.

Key responsibilities
n
Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and GST returns
n
Manage day-to-day accounting activities
n
Monthly management reporting and financial analysis
n
Cash flow forecasting and monitoring
n
Reconciliation of bank accounts and investment accounts
n
Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors
n
Coordinate annual financial statements and tax returns
n
Ensure ongoing compliance with taxation and regulatory obligations
n
Monitor lease agreements, rent reviews and critical dates
n
Coordinate property maintenance and contractor engagement
n

Review property performance and operating costs.

Liaise with tenants, property managers, Body Corporates, agents and solicitors.

Assist with acquisitions, disposals and settlement activities.

n
Prepare financial models and investment analysis as required from time to time.
n
Assist with strategic financial planning and budgeting.

Manage confidential financial and business information.

About you
n
Minimum 5+ years' accounting experience
n
Strong understanding of Australian taxation requirements
n
Experience preparing BAS and managing GST compliance
n
Advanced proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
High level of integrity, discretion and professionalism
n
Ability to work independently and make sound commercial decisions
n
SMSF, trust and investment accounting experience
