Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager (EGM), North Business Unit, this is a highly visible leadership role with accountability for the performance, people, customers and growth of the Queensland North region.
n
Based in Townsville, the Regional Manager is responsible for a diverse network of branches across North Queensland and the Northern Territory, spanning a vast and strategically important region from Mackay in the south to Weipa in the north, and from Emerald in the west through to Darwin. This broad remit provides a unique opportunity to influence business performance across multiple markets, industries and communities.

As Regional Manager, you'll lead a geographically dispersed team, driving safe, profitable and customer-focused outcomes across the region. With the autonomy to shape strategy and influence results, you'll play a pivotal role in developing high-performing teams, strengthening customer partnerships and ensuring operational excellence across the business.

You'll also contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects and high-profile community and sporting events throughout the region, helping Coates continue to support the industries and communities that keep Australia moving.

Ensure regional performance targets are achieved through strong leadership, planning and execution.

Partner with fleet, maintenance, transport and supply chain teams to maximise network performance and asset utilisation.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and customer outcomes across the region
