About the role
n
Reporting to management, you'll be responsible for coordinating workshop operations, managing staff, scheduling repairs and maintenance, and ensuring efficient day-to-day workflow. This is a largely administrative and supervisory position, ideal for an experienced Diesel Mechanic looking to transition into management.

Your key responsibilities
n
n
Manage and lead a team of 5 workshop staff, ensuring a productive and positive work environment.
n
Coordinate daily workshop operations, scheduling maintenance, repairs and servicing activities.
n
Prioritise and allocate work to maximise workshop efficiency and minimise equipment downtime.
n
Maintain accurate service records, job cards, purchase orders and workshop documentation.
n
Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding repairs, parts and job progress.
n
Monitor workshop performance, productivity and compliance with company procedures.
n
Assist with parts ordering, inventory control and workshop budgeting activities.
n
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety standards.
n
Provide technical guidance and support to workshop personnel when required.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop processes and customer service.
n

About you
n
n
Previous experience within the diesel, construction or earthmoving equipment industry
n
Strong computer and administrative skills
n
Leadership experience or a desire to move into a management role
n
Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic highly regarded (not essential)
n
Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
