We are currently working with a rapidly growing engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their awesome team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys a mix of project delivery, client interaction, and technical leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering geotechnical solutions across a variety of complex projects, from investigation and analysis through to design and construction support.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and deliver geotechnical investigations, assessments, and design solutions
n
Interpret site data and provide technical recommendations across projects
n
Undertake and review 2D and 3D finite element modelling (FEM) for complex geotechnical problems
n
Analyse foundations, retaining structures, ground improvement, and construction interactions with existing infrastructure
n
Conduct slope risk assessments in line with relevant industry guidelines
n
Prepare and review high-quality technical reports and documentation
n
Provide technical guidance and support during construction phases
n
Act as a trusted advisor to clients and maintain solid stakeholder relationships
n
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
n




Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the ongoing development of the team
n
Support business growth through technical input, proposals, and client engagement
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
n
Minimum 7 years' geotechnical engineering experience within Australia
n
Strong experience across both site-based investigations and technical design
n
Proven experience with finite element modelling software such as RS2, RS3, Slide, or similar
n
Experience preparing technical assessments and engineering reports
n
CPEng accreditation (essential)
n
Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering
n
Knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant industry guidelines
n
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
n
Ability to manage projects, clients, and competing priorities effectively
n
