Job Play on the Gold Coast places labourers and tradespeople on construction sites across Australia. At 6am a site manager rings short three carpenters. By smoko, three carpenters are on site with the right tickets in hand. That's the job - and when you're the one who pulled it off, it's a genuinely good feeling.

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruitment Resourcer) who loves the finding, not the selling. If the best part of your day is a good conversation, a fast match and a worker who says "yeah, I can start Monday," you'll fit here. Our office is Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast.

About you
n
You're deeply passionate about people and about the construction industry - you find both genuinely compelling, and it shows in how you talk about them.
n
You're enthusiastic on the phone from the first call to the fortieth. Eager to learn a market you might not know yet. Excited by a hard role that no one else can fill, and energetic enough to still be moving at 4pm on a Friday.

You're dedicated to your candidates - you follow up, you call back, you remember names. Committed to getting the details right, because a missing ticket stops a worker at the gate. Driven to build the best talent pool on the Gold Coast, and inspired by the idea of being the person hundreds of workers call first.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Sourcing labourers and trades across job boards, databases and referrals
n
Screening candidates and running phone interviews
n
Registering candidates and verifying licences, tickets and right-to-work
n
Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of ready-to-work labourers
n
Reconnecting with past candidates and keeping the talent pool warm
n
Coordinating workers for site placements alongside the recruitment team
n
Flagging opportunities you hear on the phones and passing them to the consultants
n

What we're looking for

Strong phone communication - you'd rather call than email or text
n
You genuinely like people and can talk to anyone, on any site, in any trade
n
Highly organised with sharp attention to detail - tickets and licences aren't negotiable
n
Comfortable speaking with candidates all day and energised, not exhausted, by it
n
Someone who wants to become the person who owns the talent pool, not the person chasing the sale
n
n
No recruitment experience required. If you've served, coached, hosted, sold or hustled and you're good with people, we'll teach you the rest.

Where it goes
n
This isn't a stepping stone to a sales desk. It's the start of a specialist track. There are avenues for sales for those that want it but often we find someone passionate about resourcing doesn't want to go into a sales position.

As you grow, you'll take ownership of the candidate pool itself - workforce planning, redeployment, retention, and becoming the person hundreds of workers call first. That's the Talent Manager path, and we'd rather build it internally than hire it in.
