About Us

Herberton State School P-10 has been caring for students for over 130 years.
n
The school was opened in **** and it was one of the original six state schools to have a secondary department added in ****. It is the only remaining 'high-top' of the initial six.
n
Our school is situated in a small country town on the Atherton Tablelands.
n
With approximately 200 students the teachers and staff know each student and their family, providing a robust foundation for a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment at both our Primary and Secondary campuses.

Your Opportunity

Assisting teachers and students with sporting activities and with school excursions.
n
Assisting with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources.
n
Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
n
Maintaining anecdotal records on students for use in reviewing student's development.
n
Displaying respect and empathy for students with high level needs.
n
