Role Overview
n
Seeking an experienced Purchaser to manage day-to-day procurement activities for a major infrastructure project. The role will coordinate local sourcing, supplier engagement, purchase orders, expediting and delivery of materials, equipment, consumables and services.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Manage local procurement, RFQs, quotations and purchase orders.
n
Source and negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and delivery.
n
Track and expedite orders to meet project and site requirements.
n
Coordinate with Warehouse, Engineering, Logistics and Finance on procurement needs.
n
Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with purchasing procedures.
n
n




Required Skills & Experience
n
n
5+ years' experience in
purchasing/procurement,
preferably in construction, infrastructure, energy, mining or heavy industry.
n
Robust experience with RFQs, supplier evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders and expediting.
n
Experience using SAP or other ERP/procurement systems.
n
Strong commercial awareness and supplier management skills.
n
Advanced organisational, communication and Excel skills.
n
Experience with major infrastructure or construction projects is highly desirable.
