About the Role

Are you a qualified Chef or Cook with proven leadership skills looking to make a meaningful impact in aged care? Randstad has partnered with Mercy Health to find a dedicated Hospitality Manager to lead catering, housekeeping, and laundry operations at our facility in Young, NSW.

This is a unique, dynamic role that combines culinary expertise with high-level operational management.
n
Working Model:2 Days / Week: Hands-on in the kitchen (covering full culinary duties)3 Days / Week: Operational administration, staff management, compliance, and quality control
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Catering Operations: Oversee meal planning, nutrition, and texture modifications, working directly in the kitchen 2 days a week to prepare high-quality meals.
n
Staff Leadership: Manage, mentor, and roster hospitality staff across catering, cleaning, and laundry teams.
n
Service Quality: Maintain high standards across catering, housekeeping, and laundry services to deliver a warm, person-centred environment.
n
Compliance & Safety: Maintain the Food Safety Plan, local council registrations, and ensure strict adherence to OH&S; and Aged Care Quality Standards.
n
Financial & Admin Oversight: Manage budgets, complete monthly reporting, handle stocktakes, and oversee department administration 3 days a week.

About You
n
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
n
n
Qualification: Formal qualification as a Chef or Cook (Essential).
n
Leadership Experience: Proven experience supervising and managing teams.
n
Industry Experience: Minimum 12 months of aged care experience (Preferred).
n
Safety First: Strong knowledge of OH&S; standards and Food Safety regulations.
n

Compliance Requirements: Ability to clear mandatory background checks (NDIS Worker Screening, National Police Check, and relevant vaccinations).
