As a Mechanical Diesel Fitter at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our critical locomotive fleet and mobile plant.
n
This position will be based at Pioneer Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.

This position follows a year-round day work roster pattern and may require some weekend work and overtime.

Your Role in Action
n
Maintenance Master: Carry out checks and inspections of operating plant and equipment including Loco's/Break vans as a preventative maintenance measure.
n
Fix-It Force: Install, fault find, adjust, repair and maintain machinery as required to keep the plant operating efficiently.
n
Collaboration Crew: Work in conjunction and communicate effectively with Mobile Supervisor, Reliability team and the Cane Supply & Transport Supervisors and Drivers.
n
Supervise & Comply: Oversee trade assistant. Provide trade guidance and assistance as part of a work team.
n
Safety Guardian: Show a solid commitment to safety.

Your Winning Combination
n
The successful applicant must have previous experience in a similar role,



have completed a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Fitter) or Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and hold a current C Class Drivers Licence. Bonus points for applicants who have a Forklift, Overhead Crane, Rigger, Dogger and/or EWP High Risk Work licences.
