Linacre Private Hospital now hiring!Our 67 bed hospital provides a comprehensive range of surgical and medical services to the Bayside community and beyond. We have four operating theatres, procedure room, day surgery unit and a high dependency unit.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to lead and support our ENT Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care and foster a supportive team setting within a leading healthcare organisation.

About the Role:
n
As an ANUM, you will work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the ENT ward. You will play a crucial role in clinical leadership, staff development, and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team on ENT unit
n
Assisting the Nurse Unit Manager with daily ward operations, resource management, and rostering.
n
Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans for medical and cardiac patients.
n
Mentoring and supporting nursing staff, including new graduates and junior team members.
n
Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and relevant clinical standards.
n
Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies within the unit.
n
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning.
n
Managing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively.
n
n
About You:
n
You are a highly motivated Registered Nurse with significant experience Nasal Surgery, Ear Surgery, Nursing Theatre & Recovery, including previous leadership or supervisory experience. You possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to lead with confidence and compassion.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
n
Three years of experience as an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) scrub/scout nurse
n
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a senior nursing role
n
A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
n
The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
n
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
n

Remuneration
n
$***** – $*****+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VICAssociateNurse Unit Manager yr1-yr2)
