Disability Support Worker (Native-Level English Speaker in 20s Preferred)

YH Support is seeking Disability Support Workers (Advanced Fluency/Native-Level English Speaker - Mandatory due to comprehension issues and in their 20s preferred) to join our team in Lalor, Epping VIC and surrounding areas to support a young client on the spectrum.
n
This is a casual position, with shifts scheduled on weekdays after school hours, from 4pm to 6pm.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming
n
Helping clients with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
n
Accompanying and supporting clients in the community, such as during social outings or appointments
n
Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities
n
Documenting client progress and communicating with the broader care team
n
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Certificate III in Disability
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification, Medication Administration Training, completed NDIS Orientation Modules, and other mandatory compliance checks as required.
n




Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
n
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
n
Reliable, flexible, and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
n
A current driver's license and access to reliable transport
n
