About the Opportunity
n We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected supplier to the Australian mining industry. Based in Sunshine soon to relocate to Airport West, this facility is seeking experienced and motivated CNC
Programmer/Machinist
to join their precision manufacturing team.
n This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC
Programmer/Machinist
with a toolmaking background, ideally combined with fitting experience, to work on high-precision components that are used across critical mining applications nationwide.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Program, set up, and operate CNC machines using G-code or related software.
n
Write and interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM files.
n
Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies to meet tight tolerances.
n
Perform in-process inspections and quality control checks.
n
Troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust machines as needed.
n
Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet production and safety targets.
n
Qualifications & Experience
n
Proven experience in CNC programming and machine operation.
n
Background in toolmaking and/or mechanical fitting strongly preferred.
n
Robust ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
n
High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.
n
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
n
Strong focus on safety, precision, and continuous improvement.
