Our valued client - Southern Coatings Alliances - based in Geelong Victoria, is an Australian private company specialising in passive fire protection solutions and high performance industrial protective coatings and painting - is seeking highly experienced PAINTER to join their dedicated team of professionals on full-time and permanent basis.
n
The ideal candidate must be reliable, results-driven, self-motivated, and committed to positively contribute to the team setting.

The Role Includes But Is Not Limited To
n
n
Read
blueprints/instructions,
examine, and understand surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
n
Make work preparation such as scaffolding, covering fixtures
n
Responsible for mixing, matching, applying paint to various surfaces, and completing touch-ups
n
Be able to understand and complete works to specifications
n
Be able to mix correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc.
n
Proper appropriation of consumables and materials to avoid wastage
n
Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers
n




Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness
n
Able to carry out minor repairs as and when deemed necessary
n
Use different tools and brushes to apply paints with attention to details
n
Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
n
Erecting scaffolding and ladders
n
Cleaning equipment and work areas
n
Support other team members to ensure completion of projects are on-time and in accordance to specification
n

About The Candidate
n
n
Trade Certificate -Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent (for Blaster/Painters)
n
High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift
n
Trade Qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certs)
n
HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift
n
Drivers Licence (MR or HR class)
n
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
n
Ability to meet strict deadlines
n
Strong communication skills
n
Keen attention to detail
n
Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
n
Must have great work ethics
n
