Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Land Use and Community Planner to join our team. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our vibrant region.

As a Land Use and Community Planner, you will support Council's vision by delivering efficient, effective, and timely community, land use, and strategic planning projects.
n
You'll work collaboratively with staff, government agencies, and the public, ensuring qualified and confidential service at all times. Your expertise will help manage future growth and development, contributing to the long-term prosperity of Rockhampton.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for
n
n
Degreequalification
in Urban/Regional Planning, Town/City Planning, Urban/Development Planning, Urban Design, Master Planning, Project Management or Local Government (or related discipline) and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
n




A person who can implement best practice land use and community planning concepts to meet Council's Corporate objectives.
n
Someone with experience delivering projects and providing advice on community, land use and strategic planning matters.
n

Application Criteria

Experience in delivering projects in the context of land use and Master Planning.
n
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in dealing with planning legislation and local planning instruments.
n
Experience is collating, analysing, and presenting information and data.
n
Highly developed communication and conflict resolution skills.
n
