Technical Business Analyst

Our client, a leading organisation within the Utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a major business and technology transformation program. This role will play a critical part in bridging business requirements and technical delivery, supporting complex system integrations and customer platform initiatives across the energy and utilities landscape.
n
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of utility operations, customer information systems, market transactions, and integration technologies, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Engage with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document requirements.
n
Facilitate workshops and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
n
Support end-to-end solution design across customer, billing, market and integration platforms.
n
Work closely with architects, developers, integration teams and vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
n
Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and automation.
n
Manage requirements traceability, impact assessments, gap analysis and process mapping.
n
Support testing activities including test planning, UAT coordination and defect management.
n
Ensure compliance with Australian energy market and regulatory requirements where applicable.
n

Essential Experience
n
n
Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within the Utilities, Energy or Electricity
Distribution/Retail
sector.
n




Robust knowledge of utility customer, billing and market systems.
n
Demonstrated experience working on complex integration and digital transformation programs.
n
Experience gathering and documenting functional, technical and integration requirements.
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across both business and technical audiences.
