Insolvency & Restructuring Senior Accountant / Supervisor / Manager

Clifton Hall is a South Australian Chartered Accounting firm specialising in turnaround management, corporate restructuring, corporate and personal insolvency, and forensic accounting and advisory.
n
We're looking for an experienced accountant to join our team and take on a hands‐on role managing insolvency and restructuring engagements.
n
The Role
n
As a senior accountant in our insolvency team, you'll take ownership of matters under the guidance of partners and/or senior staff, including:
n
Managing the day‐to‐day administration of corporate insolvency appointments (voluntary administrations, liquidations, restructuring, receiverships)
n
Handling personal insolvency matters (bankruptcies, personal insolvency agreements)
n
Conducting financial investigations and analysis, including reviewing company records, bank statements, and trading performance
n
Preparing reports for creditors, courts, and regulators
n
Liaising directly with directors, creditors, employees, lawyers, and other stakeholders
n
Overseeing statutory compliance and lodgements with ASIC and AFSA
n
Identifying and progressing recovery actions
n
Overseeing staff and workflow
n
About You
n
3 - 8 years of accounting experience
n




A degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
n
CA/CPA Qualified (or working towards qualification)
n
Strong financial analysis and investigative skills, with high attention to detail
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with stakeholders
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
n
A proactive, problem‐solving mindset
n
Insolvency experience is not required but highly regarded. We're equally interested in candidates from general accounting, audit, or advisory backgrounds who are looking to move into insolvency and restructuring.
