Job Description
First Nations Trainee - Personal Care Worker - Alice Springs
n
To support and grow First Nations employment across the Northern Territory, ARRCS are growing their own trainee programs.
n
New trainee opportunities are now available for First Nations to join ARRCS and be mentored and coached as they both work and complete a Certificate III qualification in Individual Care which provide you with the qualification to work in the Aged and Disability sectors as a carer. This exciting role will see you employed by ARRCS as you complete practical paid work whilst being supported by our partner training organisation to complete your qualification.

Commencement of the traineeship will begin in September **** . However, ARRCS are looking at applications as soon as possible to work with you in coordination of your course enrolment and to start with on-the-job paid training.
n
In addition, you will have Career Specialists supporting you along the journey and fellow colleagues completing similar traineeships to help you along the way.
n
These new traineeships are specific for First Nation identified people including school leavers, return to work carers or anyone looking at new job opportunities, or, interested in securing a mentored and supported traineeship which can lead to a promising career.
n
We are advertising traineeships in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs.

Skills & experience
n
To be considered for this amazing opportunity, you must:
n
n
Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
n
Be comfortable to work in Aged Care and supporting the elderly.
n
Be passionate and excited about commencing a training course and completing a Certificate III qualification.
n
Able to commit to full-time work and complete 38 hours per week – Monday – Friday.
n
n

A National Police Check dated within 3 months of commencement (requires 100 points of ID)
