An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Auto Electrician to join a well-established manufacturing and engineering operation in the Newcastle area.
n
This is a workshop-based position offering varied, hands‐on electrical work across custom vehicle builds, modifications and equipment fit‐outs.
n
Rather than routine servicing, you'll be involved in projects from initial electrical installation through to testing, fault finding and final completion.
n
The Role Responsibilities will include:
n
n
Electrical fit-out of new vehicle builds and modifications
n
Installation and wiring of 12V and 24V electrical systems
n
Installation of lighting, batteries, auxiliary power and electrical accessories
n
Building, installing and modifying wiring looms and harnesses
n
Installation of electrical components and control equipment
n
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
n
Electrical testing, diagnostics and fault finding
n
Rectification and modification of existing electrical systems
n
Working alongside mechanical, fabrication and production teams
n
Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
n
n
About You Ideally, you will have:




n
n
Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician or equivalent
n
Strong experience with 12V/24V DC electrical systems
n
Experience with electrical fit‐out, wiring and fault finding
n
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
n
Experience building or modifying wiring looms
n
Experience with heavy vehicles, trucks, mobile equipment or custom vehicle builds would be advantageous
n
Good fault‐finding and problem‐solving ability
n
Strong attention to detail
n
Ability to work effectively within a workshop environment
n
