Job Description
Benalla Church Street Surgery is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse with a passion for quality improvement to join our healthcare team on a full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy general practice providing essential patient care and support within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct patient care including wound dressing, injections, immunisations and blood pressure monitoring
n
Assist with minor surgical procedures and clinical examinations as directed by medical practitioners
n
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with clinical governance standards
n
Administer medications and manage patient medications as per practice protocols
n
Provide patient education and health advice on preventative care and treatment options
n
Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic clinical workplace adhering to infection prevention and control standards
n
Assist in quality improvement projects
n
Contribute to the smooth running of the practice through effective communication and teamwork
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
n
Demonstrated experience working in general practice or primary healthcare settings
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Proficiency in using practice management software and electronic health records
n




A commitment to maintaining professional development and staying current with clinical best practice
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
n
Sound knowledge of infection control and workplace health and safety requirements
n
Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment & drugs.
