We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our Albury manufacturing operation.
n
This is a hands‐on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working closely with their team and creating an environment where people can perform at their best.
n
Delivery of production outcomes through strong people leadership focus is key, this role has a robust people leadership focus. You will spend much of your time coaching and developing employees, building capability, managing performance, improving engagement and creating a positive, accountable and high‐performing team culture.
n
At the same time, you will ensure we continue to deliver consistent, safe, high‐quality and efficient manufacturing outcomes across the business, leading Assembly and Fabrication.

The role
n
Reporting to the General Manager - Manufacturing and Operations, you will provide visible, day‐to‐day leadership across our production teams and Team Leaders.
n
Your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading, coaching and developing production employees and frontline leaders.
n
Building a positive, engaged and accountable team culture.
n
Providing regular feedback and managing employee performance effectively and constructively.
n
Identifying talent and supporting succession planning and employee development.
n
Building workforce flexibility through cross‐skilling, versatility and competency development.
n
Planning workforce requirements, rostering and resource allocation to meet production needs.
n
Leading a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and company requirements.
n
Monitoring production, quality, delivery and productivity performance and taking action when required.
n
Driving Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities, including waste elimination, process optimisation, material management, value stream thinking and root cause analysis.
n
Using data, Excel, business systems and planning tools to support effective decision‐making.
n
Working collaboratively with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Planning to resolve issues and improve performance.
n

About you
n
We are looking for a practical and visible manufacturing leader who genuinely enjoys leading people, not simply managing production.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
Demonstrated leadership experience within a production or manufacturing environment.
n
A visible, practical and hands‐on leadership style.
n
Strong coaching, performance management and employee development capability.
n
Experience building employee engagement, accountability and team performance.
n
Workforce planning, rostering and cross‐skilling experience.
n
A strong understanding of workplace safety, quality and manufacturing standards.
n
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies such as VSM, waste elimination, process optimisation and root cause analysis.
n
Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making skills.
n
Confidence using business systems, technology and
planning/scheduling
tools.
n
Strong Microsoft Excel capability, including data analysis and reporting.
n
The ability to balance people leadership with the day‐to‐day operational requirements of a busy manufacturing environment.
n
n
A relevant trade, technical or manufacturing qualification would be advantageous; however, practical manufacturing leadership experience is equally valued.
n
