Culinary Trainer | 9-Month Contract with Future Career Opportunities

We are seeking a passionate Culinary Trainer to join our Brisbane Academy on a 9-month maternity leave contract. Based in Cannon Hill, this role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on cooking, mentoring and training while helping develop the next generation of Compass Group chefs.

4-day work week - every weekend is a long weekend

THE POSITION
n
n
Deliver practical culinary training and competency assessments
n
Coach, mentor and support chefs through their learning journey
n
Organise kitchens, stock and training resources for practical sessions
n
Maintain and update training materials and content as required
n
Support food safety, compliance and operational standards
n
Conduct site visits to support and upskill teams across Brisbane locations
n

THE PERSON
n
n
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
n
Cert IV in Training & Assessment highly regarded
n
Strong commercial cookery background with excellent all-round culinary skills
n
Experience mentoring, coaching or training team members
n
Background in high-end hospitality, catering or premium food environments
n
Passion for food, attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation
n
